Biography

Apostle Nathan R. Byrd is the founder and visionary leader of JMDM. He was called to ministry at a very young age under the leadership of his then pastor and older brother, Pastor Daniel H. Byrd. He first served the kingdom as an evangelist before transitioning to the office of pastor. He then ministered at The Worship Center of St. Albans in Queens, New York as senior pastor for 14 years.

In 2009, he was anointed and elevated to the office of Apostle with hands laid on him by Dr. Reuben Timothy, of Durban, South Africa.

He is the author of 3 books and the visionary leader of the "Isaachar Gathering", an annual gathering to discover "What now, what next" for the body of Christ.

His demanding international ministry has carried him to Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, India, Britain, Zambia, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Cameroon, Nigeria, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Brazil and various Caribbean islands. He also spent 20 years in a career on Wall St.

He has been called New York's best kept secret! He is indeed one of the most gifted and anointed vessels of our time.

JMDM was founded by Apostle Nathan Byrd in 1986. At the time, it was an evangelistic ministry focused primarily on facilitating soul winning crusades in the New York metropolitan area. It was comprised of energetic and enthusiastic young people who were filled with the Holy Spirit and the desire to be involved in kingdom ministry.

As of 2013, Apostle Byrd has re-established the ministry as an apostolic ministry providing leadership, oversight, prophetic insight and spiritual impartation to the body of Christ.
