Giving is more than a transaction. It is an expression of worship, stewardship, obedience, faith, and partnership with the work of the kingdom.

Tithes

Tithing is first introduced in Genesis 14:18-20, when Abraham encounters Melchizedek (Christ concealed in the Old Testament) and has communion with him. Melchizedek blesses Abraham, and Abraham responds by giving him a tenth of all.

Abraham's tithe was given willingly as an act of honor to the One who blessed him. Because this encounter precedes the Law of Moses, JMDM teaches that tithing is more than a requirement of the Law–it is an expression of willing obedience arising from relationship with God.

As children of Abraham who enjoy relationship with Christ, we honor God through the tithe.

Offering

Throughout Scripture, offerings represent something intentionally presented to YHWH in worship, sacrifice, thanksgiving, and faith.

The offering is separate and distinct from the tithe. It represents that which we willingly place before God and can also be understood as seed sown into the soil of the Kingdom.

Scripture teaches the principle that seed produces after its kind. We therefore give in faith, trusting God with both the seed and the harvest.

In the fall of 2019, prior to the pandemic, Apostle Nathan R. Byrd ministered in five countries within four months, traveling more than 30,000 flight miles during that period.

As JMDM emerges from its Jubilee hiatus, the demand for international ministry is expected to be even greater than before. Support for ministry efforts in Myanmar, India, Brazil, Colombia, and other nations help make it possible to continue serving communities, strengthening leaders, teaching the Word, and responding to ministry opportunities around the world.

Your contribution helps JMDM reach people in places where resources are limited and where, for many, daily survival is by the grace of YHWH.
